Washing Machine Cleaner Tablets — Pet Formula
- Enzymes break down pet hair, oils and residue in the drum, seal and hoses
- Fragrance-free — tea polyphenols clear odour instead of masking it
- Septic-safe, works in every washing machine — and descales limescale too
- 24 tablets · a full 12-month supply
What’s in the Formula
Dog and cat hair, dander, and body oil transfer from bedding, towels, and clothing into your washing machine every wash — bonded to drum perforations and rubber seals, coating internal surfaces. Detergent and fabric-softener residue gets trapped underneath, and limescale builds on top of it. Generic cleaning products don't reach any of this.
- Sodium Percarbonate — the oxygen-based lifting agent. Releases active oxygen at 60°C+, breaking up the residue film that binds hair and organic matter to drum surfaces. The largest active in the formula.
- TAED — bleach activator. Lets the oxygen release at standard hot-wash temperatures (around 60°C) rather than only at boil, so one hot cycle does the job.
- Protease — breaks down the protein that anchors pet hair to rubber seals and drum perforations. Once that bond breaks, hair flushes out through the drain.
- Lipase — dissolves the oils and grease pets leave behind, the invisible coating that holds other residue in place.
- Diastase (amylase family) — clears detergent and fabric-softener residue, the starch-based film that coats internal parts and traps odour.
- Citric Acid — descales the drum, heating element, and pipes. Breaks down limescale as the same cycle handles everything else.
- Sodium Carbonate and a gentle cleaning agent — soften the wash water and get into the residue layer so the actives reach the surfaces they need to.
- Tea Polyphenols — natural odour neutraliser. Clears the smell of organic build-up rather than masking it with fragrance.
What it tackles:
- Dog and cat hair bonded to drum perforations and rubber seals
- Body oil and dander coating internal surfaces
- Detergent and fabric-softener residue trapped underneath
- Limescale and mineral deposits in drum, heater, and pipes
- Musty odours from organic build-up
- Residue redeposition on already-cleaned surfaces
How to use:
- Place one tablet directly in the empty drum — not the detergent drawer
- Run the hottest cycle available — 60–90°C, or your washing machine's drum clean setting
- Repeat twice a month. For heavy shedders or strong pet odours, use 2 tablets.

A clean washing machine changes every load
- Softer towels, truer colours. Nothing from a filthy drum redepositing onto clean laundry.
- No more musty smell. The odour trapped in the seal stops transferring onto your clothes.
- A washing machine that lasts. Clearing hair and limescale keeps it draining and running smoothly.
- Pennies per clean. Around £0.62 a wash — a full year in one box.

The build-up you can’t see
Every wash, pet hair, body oils and detergent residue collect where you can’t reach — the drum, the rubber seal, the filter and the hoses. It’s what leaves a musty smell on clothes that came out “clean”. Ordinary washing machine cleaners don’t touch it.
What’s inside, and what it does
Five active workers — plus oxygen bleach for the deep lift. No filler chemistry to talk up.
Proteasepet hair & protein
Breaks down the protein that glues pet hair to the seal and drum, so it loosens and flushes away instead of building up.
Lipaseoils & sebum
Dissolves the pet oils and grease that coat internal surfaces and trap everything else against them.
Amylasedetergent residue
Clears the starch-based detergent and softener film that lines the drum and pipes and holds onto odour.
Citric aciddescales limescale
A genuine descaler that dissolves the limescale coating the element, drum and pipes in the same wash.
Tea polyphenolsodour, fragrance-free
A plant antioxidant that neutralises odour at the source — so there’s no synthetic perfume covering the smell up.
Three Steps. Twelve Months.

Reviews
Questions.
How often should I use this?
Use once a month, or twice a month if you have heavy shedders or wash pet bedding frequently. Drop a tablet directly in the empty drum — not the drawer — and run your hottest cycle (60–90°C) or your washing machine’s drum clean setting. That’s it.
How does this remove pet hair from inside the washing machine?
Protease breaks down the protein that binds pet hair to rubber seals and the drum — loosening it so it flushes out through the drain during the hot cycle. Lipase removes the pet oils that coat internal surfaces, and amylase clears trapped detergent residue. Over regular use, the formula progressively reduces the build-up that traps hair inside your washing machine.
Can pet hair actually damage my washing machine?
Over time, yes. Dog hair and cat hair collect inside drum perforations, rubber seals, and drain systems. As it accumulates, it mixes with detergent residue to form a layer that causes musty odours, slow drainage, and can eventually clog pump filters — a £100–300 repair. A proper dog hair remover and cat hair remover for your washing machine prevents it before it becomes a problem.
Is this safe for my washing machine?
Yes — compatible with front-load, top-load, and HE machines from all major brands: Samsung, Bosch, LG, Hotpoint, Beko, AEG, Miele, and more. No chlorine bleach. Septic-safe.
Will this remove pet odours from my washing machine?
Yes. Tea polyphenols in the formula neutralise odour at the source — not by masking it with synthetic fragrance. After the first use, your washing machine should smell noticeably cleaner. Whether it’s dog hair odour or cat hair odour, clothes come out smelling like your detergent — not your pet.
Does this remove limescale?
Yes — citric acid makes up 10–30% of the formula and is a genuine descaler. It breaks down limescale and mineral deposits in the drum, pipes, and heating element during the hot cycle. If your kettle scales up fast or you’re in a hard water area (200+ ppm) — London, South East, Midlands — our Hard Water Formula is built specifically for that level of scale. For moderate water areas, this handles everyday mineral build-up as part of the same clean.
How many tablets are included? Is one box enough for the year?
Each box contains 24 tablets — a full 12-month supply based on twice-monthly use. That works out to pennies per clean. One purchase, the whole year handled.
